    BILINGUAL SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST

Hi, I’m Vivian Ruth Black, founder of Sonrisa Speech and Language. I’m a bilingual (Spanish-English) speech-language pathologist serving clients of all ages, with a holistic, voice-centered approach informed by over 700 hours of yoga teacher training. I specialize in bilingual language development, speech sound disorders, and voice, and bring experience across school settings, early intervention, home health, and rehabilitation hospitals. I earned my undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst and my graduate degree from The College of Saint Rose, and I am currently enrolled in the Bilingual Extension Advanced Certificate program at Teachers College, Columbia University. My work is grounded in culturally responsive care, supporting clients and families in building communication skills that are functional, meaningful, and sustainable in everyday life.
